Vietnam Horizons Expedition is a 16-day adventure designed for those craving variety and scenic splendor. This journey charts a path from the vibrant culture of Hanoi to the cool misty mountain town of Sapa and the terraced rice fields of Cat Cat village. After alpine explorations, return to urban life in Hanoi before embarking on a cruise through the majestic karsts of Lan Ha Bay. The tour also travels south to ancient riverside landscapes in Ninh Binh, the modern coastal city of Danang, and the colorful heritage of Hoi An. The itinerary stands apart by focusing on rugged mountain territory, highland ethnic life, off-the-beaten-path ancient sites, and striking coastal cities, ultimately providing a panoramic sweep of Vietnam’s natural and cultural “horizons”.
Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi Arrival
Arrive in Hanoi, transfer to hotel, free at leisure.
Day 2: Hanoi Historical Day
Temple of Literature, One Pillar Pagoda, Thang Long Citadel, French Quarter, Ho Chi Minh Complex, Ba Dinh Square; enjoy Pho and Vietnamese iced coffee.
Day 3: Hanoi on Your Own
Morning walk around Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake; rest of the day free. Optional afternoon foodie tour.
Day 4: Hanoi – Sapa via Freeway
Drive to Sapa, check in, free time after long journey.
Day 5: Sapa Exploration
Afternoon visit Cat Cat village, trek to waterfall and power station; return to Sapa town.
Day 6: Sapa on Your Own
Free day to discover Sapa independently.
Day 7: Sapa – Hanoi
Return drive to Hanoi, hotel check-in, free evening.
Day 8: Hanoi on Your Own

Day 9: Hanoi – Halong Bay / Lan Ha Bay (Overnight Cruise)
Board cruise at Tuan Chau: lunch, kayaking at Tra Bau, sunset party, cooking class, evening entertainment.
Day 10: Halong Bay – Hanoi
Morning tai chi, visit Quan Y cave, brunch, disembark and return to Hanoi.
Day 11: Hanoi on Your Own
Full free day to explore Hanoi.
Day 12: Ninh Binh Excursion – Hanoi
Day trip to Hoa Lu, cycling through villages, boat trip at Trang An, climb Mua Cave; return to Hanoi.
Day 13: Hanoi – Danang by Flight
Fly to Danang, transfer to beach hotel, free evening.
Day 14: Ba Na Hills – Golden Bridge – Danang
Cable car ride, Golden Bridge, French Village, Fantasy Park; buffet lunch; return to Danang.
